Mattel Creations and MoMA make art together with these Hot Wheels® replicas inspired by iconic vehicles in MoMA’s collection. Choose from the Jaguar E-Type and Citroen DS 23, each sold separately. 

France has a rich history in the art and design world, and that includes car design. Sweeping curves creating a teardrop-shaped body lend a sleek silhouette to the 1973 Citroën DS23 Sedan. Innovation was at the forefront of this vehicle, especially when it came to the suspension. Seeing the self-leveling hydropneumatic suspension adjust the vehicle’s height, giving it a floating appearance, is in itself a work of art. The minimalistic interior creates a crossroads of sophistication and simplicity as it seamlessly integrates with its futuristic body shape. Suffice it to say, designers Flamino Bertoni and André Lefèbvre took design intention to a whole other level. 

Widely considered ‘the most beautiful car ever made’, it is only fitting that the Jaguar E-Type finds itself living among some of the world’s most renowned works of art. Born in England, this masterpiece sped into the swinging ‘60s, turning the automotive world on its head. Built for the road, yet track-ready, the dialed-in aerodynamics created lines yet to be seen on a car. These modern contours were so groovy that even the most far-out minds were blown away by Malcolm Sayer’s futuristic design. It’s safe to say the Jaguar E-Type Roadster dragged and checker-flagged its way into the hearts and minds of art and car enthusiasts alike.
